Hi, my name is Kaya, and I head up communications at Horizon Media.

I hired Georgia onto the communications team one month after joining the company in 2013.

When I first started dating my now husband, she heard about all of my funny dating stories, and we would always have a laugh.

When my now-husband proposed, I couldn’t think of anyone else to come to city hall to witness our marriage.

I was incredibly nervous when we all met up in downtown Manhattan to have our civil ceremony, and I don’t think that anyone at work (or my now-husband), has ever seen me so quiet, pale and clammy-handed!

Georgia was so excited for me and we made jokes and I nervously practiced deep breathing exercises as we all waited for our number to be called.

My husband and I decided to have a destination wedding and ceremony in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast of Italy.

I was sad that Georgia and the team at work couldn’t come to the wedding, but someone had to hold up the fort while I was away.

We stayed in Positano with all of our guests, and got married in a beautiful white church at the top of a hill in Ravello. It was a perfect day that will always bring a smile to my face.

I had the most incredible time, at both the civil ceremony and destination wedding, and if it wasn’t for Georgia, I imagine that I’d be checking emails at the alter!

Not only was Georgia my civil ceremony witness, but she kept the cogs rolling at work and allowed me to switch off and enjoy getting married without thinking too much about work on my wedding day.

And I’m really grateful for that.
