Hi! I’m Marly, and I’m Nicki  and we both attended Colgate University.

Marly: Nicki was a year older than me and was always a mentor to me. We met in a psychology class where we quickly learned we shared many of the same interests. Nicki graduated a year before me, and we always kept in touch. When I graduated in 2014, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I had graduated with a major in psychology and a minor in film and media, and wanted to find a way to apply that knowledge.

Nicki: I had been working at Horizon for about 6 months when a position on the Burger King team opened. I tapped into my Colgate network to see if any recent grads were looking for a job in media. I remembered Marly and I had spoken about working in advertising, and I thought she might be a good fit for the team.

Marly: I remember Nicki gave me a call to let me know there was an opening on her team at Horizon. I was immediately interested after our conversation. Nicki raved about the work-environment, her coworkers and the challenging, yet exciting work she did every day.  I thought, if Nicki was happy there, I could definitely be happy there.

Nicki: I was excited to share my Horizon experience with Marly

Marly: It was so nice to have a familiar face at work. Nicki was so inviting and helped to make my transition to Horizon a seamless one.
